Losing weight and getting into shape for baby

  • My name is Rachelle. I am from MN and DH and I will be TTC in May and I need to lose at least 10% of my body fat. 2 weeks ago I was 250lbs today I weight myself and it was 240lbs. So 10lbs is a start . 25lbs in my mini goal right now, but I will make another 25lbs goal after that one is achieved, unless I am pregnant then I will not be actively trying to lose weight, but stay in shape. My full goal is to be at 150lbs. I know the BMI says I would still be "overweight", but I'd say 100lb weight loss is pretty damn good .

  • Hi there. I'm doing the same. I have PCOS and asthma - so losing weight may help with the hormones and ovulation of the former, and being in better shape might help control the symptoms of the latter. We're not going to be ready to even start trying for at least another 18 months, so I've got plenty of time to get into better shape!

    I'm losing weight for the exact same reason!!!! We've decided to take the next step and start a family. I want to be very close to goal before getting pregnant so I can have better chances at a healthy pregnancy!!!!
