    Starting IP today and I might be asking a lot of questions, so I just wanted to introduce myself, My name is Dee and I have 2 children and I want to lose about 80 pounds, wish me luck

    DRINK LOTS OF WATER. It well help you feel full. And the hunger pangs (which may just be in your head- this is something I had to learn) will pass after about 3 days as long as you stick to it!

    That's not starving. Don't eat for the next 48 hours and then you'll know what hungry is.

    But seriously - don't worry your body will adjust to the lack of food intake. The first 2-3 days are the worst. When you hit ketosis - you'll know due to your breath and urine smell - and you'll most likely find your mood and appetite affected in a positive manner.

    Also, you may want to move some of your meat to lunch.
  • Welcome! You can do this, drink lots of water. After 3 days you will feel great, hang in there! After 3 weeks you will be in more of a routine, and it will come naturally to you. Read the old posts in here, they will guide you!! I still read through the old posts, nearly every day. Good luck!!!! Glad you are here.

  • Also, remember how you feel today and the next couple of days - because when you start to feel good - it will motivate you to not cheat - because you won't want to have to go through those bad feeling days again!
