Phase 2

  • How many grains & fruit can you eat daily on phase 2 week 1 and so on???
  • It all depends on your body and how you respond. Search for threads called phase 1.5.

    Usually, people try one fruit once a day for a week and see how the body responds. Then add a grain.

    I can only do 2-3 servings a day without gaining. But each person is different. And, I know I can't eat certain things in the morning or I will crave all day (usually fruit). But I wouldn't have learned that if I didn't test the waters.

  • In the book it says that you should add one portion of fruit and one portion of starches for the first week after P1. Then gradually (over another week) increase to 3 portions of fruit and 3 starches. If you google phase 2 foods to reintroduce I am sure you'll find a list with quantities.

    But as Jenne has said - I guess everyone reacts differently to certain foods (at certain times) so it's probably a bit of trial and error. I for instance know from other times when I've dieted that I loose less or no weight when I eat too many starches for dinner.
