Tomorrow, a medical appointment, with a physician, for my annual check. Which I haven't had since 2009 because I hate dealing with doctors and I know its going to be a replay of last time. Step on the scales in front of the nurse. Quick intake of breath from the nurse, with a rush to grab the tape measure to see exactly how fat I am. Checking and rechecking the chart for BMI. Then lets redo the waist measurement to confirm my fatness. The warning-- you know for your height you're pretty much OBESE. You better be CAREFUL, your weight is TOO HIGH. Like I don't know that and don't see that every darned day in the mirror. And like I every single pound I've lost and kept off means NOTHING because I'm. Still. Fat. Tsk tsk tsk, then lead me to the examination room where I feel every single fold and blob of chub draping over the sides of the examination table.
I hate these appointments. Not able to change doctors so I just avoid them like the plague. Get as many refills as possible without having to actually go in.
Anyone else hate medical appointments?
