Let's keep the noise down on this Saturday morning. Not a creature is stirring except me, and I'm sitting here with just the lights from my tree and coffee, and relishing the moment. I know it won't last long, though.

I'm off to spend the rest of the weekend at my DD's. We're going to go to the Christkindl Market in center city this afternoon and while Monica's at her office Christmas party tonight, I'm taking Carley shopping at the mall to buy presents for mommy and her big sister.

I think I have time for 1 more cup of coffee before everyone starts waking up.

Linda - I made the farro dish last night and DH and I both loved it! YUM.

I gave up trying to sleep and have been up for hours, being productive on the computer. I've gotten some work done for our charitable foundation, almost finished my holiday letter, and have been busy trying to find a clock to replace the one that hangs over our kitchen sink and seems to have stopped working. I think I'll need a nap later!

Good morning, Karen. Sorry you are having trouble sleeping. I took Ambien to help me sleep the last 2 nights after suffering through an awful bout with insomnia. I hate to rely on pill, but I was desperate for a good night's sleep! I'm glad you enjoyed that farro dish, isn't it delicious!

Good morning I'm off to Boston to see The Nutcracker with DD. Tomorrow she and I go wedding dress shopping. I can't wait to see the new condo she and her fiance moved into and spend some time with her.

Good morning chicks. I had an awesome time with my friend yesterday, we didn't get home until 11 pm . You'd think I was a young chick! I picked up quite a few presents, but have lots more to go. I need to start wrapping!

We're hoping to chop down a tree today, but it's supposed to rain all day...decisions, decisions. DH is going hunting this afternoon, and I'll make dessert for our bible study tomorrow (which I forgot about until about 10 minutes ago...).

Tammy I too had a late night! Did not get home until almost midnight then up at 4 for work. We had a nice dinner in the city. Will definitely go there again. Trying to stay awake at work which is proving a little challenging today. At least today is my last thankfully! Enjoy the day.

Good morning, Early Chicks. I was up just after seven but had no Internet connection. It just came back now but I did get a chance to sort out my Christmas shopping from yesterday.

Barb and I had a lovely day together exploring small towns and stopping at a well-known bakery for lunch. I resisted the sweets and had a lovely smoked salmon and ww bagel lunch. I did buy a loaf of their whole grain bread and some small cheesy bagels they make for doggie treats.

Nothing scheduled today and I don't even need to freeze my butt off at the Mill tonight. I'm going to venture out shortly to pick up some things I need for cooking and then will cozy in for the rest of the day.

Just about ready to go take DD2 to my work to see Santa and then not sure where we are off to after that but then back home...DD2 is having a small dance party at our house so need to get ready for that...she is calling it a Starlight Dance lol I get to be the DJ, some of her friends are going to borrow her dresses so they can dress up as well, should be fun 9 years olds lol.

DH is going to see Batman Live tonight so he escapes.

Good morning. I woke at 5 and lay there planning my day. Then I remembered I have a cooking course scheduled for noon today! It's traditional Roman cooking - a hands on course where we cook AND eat! I am going to have a very light breakfast. Pray for me.

Today is crazy for me - sunday schoool, church, we moved our last bible study to after church today, then a going away for a friend, and then the contemporary service tonight if I wish. Plus, a former colleague wants me to vacc her dog while she's in town for the afternoon. When do I have time for a nap!?!?

I won't tell you what I made for dessert , absolutely delicious but certainly not SBD compliant!

Italian for lunch and a delicious dessert tonight. Sure sounds like Food Porn Sunday to me! I'll be eager to hear what you made in the cooking class, Ruth, and Tammy, I don't know what you made, but save a piece for me!

We had a pleasant night; Caite and Matt were going to go to a movie but instead stayed home to keep me company. and we discussed their upcoming move right after Christmas to Wisconsin where Matt will be starting an exciting new job. I'm sure going to miss my granddaughter, but I'm very happy for them, too. I'll be making lots of trips out there, that's for certain!

I'm enjoying my coffee now with Carley snuggled up close beside me playing an annoying game on the wii. We'll have to get ready for church soon, then dropping Carley off at her dad's, and I'll be headed back home.

Good morning. Enjoy your decadent goodies ladies. Ruth your class sounds like fun. Linda, it is going to be a big change for your family! It is hard when loved ones move far away. I remember when my mom and stepdad moved to VA. I was happy for them, but sad too for my own selfish reasons. I really do need to visit them more often.

Today's agenda included much needed sleep. Ten hours to be exact. Weekly weigh in 141, happy about that. Morning coffee and smoothie. Then time to get motivated. Meeting my sisters to go ornament shopping at this adorable store in Nyack. Tonight I'll ride no time this morning.

We got up early....the car is all packed and DH is turning off the water as we speak. I'm leaving lots of groceries since we'll be back here again on Wednesday. I offered DH the opportunity to stay but he wants to go over and work for a few days.

Now that we're ready we'll head to the pool for a soak before church and I'll check back in from "the other side of the mountain." We got snow last night, thank goodness, but it's the ski traffic that I try to stay ahead of.
