Talk to me about banana pudding!

  • Do you like the banana pudding? Can you describe the taste and compare to jello banana pudding mix or homemade banana pudding? Thanks!
  • Terrible.
  • I agree with Benice...really fake tasting, with a chalky aftertaste. I stick with the milk chocolate and butterscotch puddings..they are pretty good, IMO.
  • I love the banana pudding made into a banana pancake (1 egg white slightly whipped, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 c shredded zucchini). Same recipe makes banana muffins, too, just bake in nonstick instead of cooking on stovetop. Sometimes things that are not-so-good by themselves take on a whole new taste sensation when we do a little packet magic. This is how I manage to get in soup every day. I would NEVER like IP soups alone. But add some pureed vegetables and viola! A new taste sensation.

I like to mix some of the puddings I don't like alone with my Dark Chocolate pudding for varied flavor. So I make chocolate-covered strawberry and chocolate covered banana. I slightly freeze these for a whole-new sensation

I prefer Dark Choc pudding b/c it is not so sweet. I'm gonna try a lemon pudding b/c I LOVE lemon desserts. If I don't like it alone, I'll do some fun with packet hack.
  • i found it to be eatable - i froze it for 40 mins tho before i had it

I LOVE banana and butterscotch pudding normally, but I don't like ideal protein's version of either. Generally though I don't really like any of their puddings unless I make it into a drink or "ice cream." In that case I like the chocolate ones. There is something about the texture I can't stand, and the banana flavor is very strong and fake, not in a good way (I've liked some of the fake banana flavored candy in the past)
  • yuck by itself. HAvnet done it as a pancake or a muffin but may try that. Not a big banana fan either though
  • Yum, banana muffins. I think I'll try that. Thanks!
