Month # 1 Complete

  • today marks one month from starting this WOE.

i'm down 15 lbs, 5 inches from my waist, 4 from my hips, 2 from my arms and 2.5 from my thighs.

PRETTY THRILLED! everyone at work has been commenting this week which also is very nice, and my dress pants that were too small in October are now baggy.

I'm finding it hard to keep myself interested in food still. I'll make dinner and then only eat half of it and get bored.

I'm craving chinese coconut buns badly. lol.

other than that (and the terrible sleep and weirdo dreams i had last night) everything seems to be ticking along quite nicely.

any suggestions for getting myself motivated to eat more?
  • Congratulations on all your success. 15 lbs in one month is AMAZING! Boy do I love when I have trouble eating. It has happened to me this week after a couple HUNGRY weeks. One thing I do is split my protein between lunch and dinner. When i am in the "not hungry" phases 8 ounces at one time is just too difficult. Also, I will try to eat my dinner at 2 times, I just leave the leftovers out and try to eat them later. Good luck and may you always have the non hungry problem Hope this helps
  • ooooh.. 2 dinners is a GREAT idea!! i find that i'm hungry right after work at 5pm.. so if i made dinner then and then had the second half at like, 7:30 that would probably work out. thank you for that!

Congratulations on your losses! I'm having trouble eating myself, interested in hearing suggestions from others.
  • 1st of all, congrats!! Isn't it that we actually feel full??

I had weird dreams the 1st few days I was on IP. Um...........you are the 1st person to also mention it. I wonder if it has happened to anyone else!!
  • Congrats on your first month! The weird dreams don't stop or at least haven't for me!!! I'm at the non eat phase right now just due to stress
  • Congrats.
I have been on IP for a little over a month. I have lost a total of 20lbs, and a total of 18 1/2 inches. my starting weight was 174, and I am 154 today. My Weekly weigh in's have been pretty low, but my inches per week average about 3 inches.

I split my dinner protein up. so, I have 3 oz of protein at lunch, and the remainder 5 at dinner.
  • CONGRATS. it's pure motivation when people star noticing.
  • congratulations!

I have the same full feeling when eating large amounts of chicken. But I can eat 8 ounces of fish easily.
  • I have weird dreams every night, so no different with IP, except that one night I dreamed I was eating a bratwurst with sour kraut and baked beans.
  • humm..My husband complained about having some strange dreams after he started the IP. I haven't noticed any difference. Maybe it's just the toxins trying to scare you guys!! haha
About breaking up the protein into 2 meals...isn't that what happens in phase 3? Just curious.....
  • I have weird dreams every night as well. Last night a shark was chasing me, but we weren'tw in water. I was running through backyards and jumping fences and he was on my tail.

LOL! I like the idea about the toxins coming back to scare us!

I THINK that in phase 3 you ADD a protein to your lunch, not split up the dinner protein. Dinner protein is 8 oz, but I guess you can eat it two different times, if you want. Alas, I'm nowhere near phase 3 yet, so I'm not sure.
