So short of the nutrition label, are the IP foods engineered differently from alternatives, hence the cost? My coach said something about the protein isotates (or something like that) being specialized for the diet.

I haven't found much of a difference. Some alternatives ARE exact IP products just in different packaging - there's a thread on it somewhere. I've seen some people post that they felt the program worked better with IP than alternatives, but my body seems to respond to them the same way.

What flavors are good? They are only $4.74 per 4 pack on Amazon, shipped. That is without the subscribe and save.

YES! Love the chocolate one. I also use the vanilla one as creamer in my coffee!

I'm not sure, but I've been substituting shakes with some from Walmart and its been working fine for me.

Rich dark chocolate and fudge chocolate are really good.
