Weigh in Wednesday...Week 7

  • Hi all,

    As I just posted over on the daily chat, once you get me out of lurkdom it's hard to get rid of me

    I have a question about setting short-term goals. I always have a hard time picking something "not too hard, not too easy, not too soon & not far away". A once-a-month goal seems right but how do you pick a number that you can strive for but not feel bummed if you miss?

    What are your strategies???

  • Your pretty safe to say you can loose 2lbs a week. So for a month, between 8 & 10 lbs is reasonable.

  • Kim, I usually go for A RANGE then if I'm anywhere in the range I feel good. For a month I strive for between 5 to 10 pounds. Here lately I've not been doing that , but that is my goal.

    Week 2 ~ 185.5 (minus 2.5!)
    Week 3 ~ ?
    Week 4 ~ 182.5 (minus 3 )
    Week 5 ~ ? no weigh in due to spending all my time on the beach in the sun of florida!
    Week 6 ~ 181.0
    Week 7 ~ 182
