I've been MIA but I have some really good excuses lined up.

I have a brand new grandson to play with and that took me to AZ last week. Of course I picked up a cold complements of the plane (I always get sick when I fly) and this week has been all about catching up and feeling better. I did really good while I was visiting in AZ but haven't been doing so well since I got back. I haven't gained anything YET but I haven't lost either. Sure hope I show at least a small drop before the weigh in but if not so be it. I'm happy not to gain as unstructured as I have been this week.
Oh yah, and we had someone drop a couple of puppies in our neighborhood and one of them attached himself to my house. Anyone want a dog? He is really a sweet thing but I already have two pugs and a boxer. There is a limit on how many one household can handle, poor little guy. I've said that so much to him that my granddaughter has started calling him Guy Dog and he has started responding to it. This does NOT look good, he is just to happy to see us when we come home.
Tania, good luck with your back. That sounds really pretty serious.
Miss Jean, controlling your weight is mostly a head game. Don't be beating yourself up over it. Just take one thing that you can change, just one. For instance, can you put yourself on a schedule where you don't allow yourself to eat any more frequently than 2 hours? Or can you plan on always weighing your meat/protein and keeping it at exactly 4 oz each meal. Just one thing that you can control for a week will make you feel like you have accomplished something and that will really help to get your head into the game. My first target I set for myself was to eat no more than 2 carbs at a meal and 1 carb at a snack. That was 63 pounds ago so far. Set just ONE very obtainable goal, don't worry about the weight focus on the habit. If you establish a good habit the weight will take care of itself.
Congratulation Leslie, great job last week. Do it again! Do it again!
Hi to Bigmid and Angie.
Hang in there everyone.
