  • I was told today that i will lose the fat in different places and when i lose fat the fat in my body redistributes itself so the belly will be the last to go..Does this make sense? my face has shrunk way more that my stomach,
  • I think it depends on the person. I'm assuming you're a guy (sorry if I'm wrong, I was going by the name Paul) so that very likely could be true for you. I lose weight first in my belly, last in my legs/thighs.
  • Agreed - it definitely depends on the person. I have lost fastest in my belly and waist, slowest in my thighs.
  • It sounds a little odd, but a close family friend of ours was on IP for a few months and lost something like 80 pounds. It seemed as though he definitely lost weight most quickly in his arms, legs, and face and last in his belly. He began phasing off and is now in maintenance. At this point his whole body seems to have evened out nicely. I am not sure how that works exactly. Because after he stopped losing weight it seemed like his body was still evening itself out. As for me, I also lost most of my weight from my arms and legs and still have a little bit of a belly. Hopefully I experience the same evening out!
  • Everything on me is thinning -- except my belly -- so I appreciate what you're saying. I don't want smaller toes or boobs... just get rid of this gut! LOL
  • Most of us carry our weight in our belly, I know I do. I was told that I would lose from the top to the bottom and that is how I have loss. My body is starting to catch up and even out, I am still in phase 1 but my belly is starting to "thin" down and not as solid as it was. Your body does rearrange once you get to your goal, if your face is drawn now it will "fill" out after a few weeks/months of maintaining
  • i was told it will balance out, maybe in maintenance, but thanks

I do want smaller boobs---- i'm a guy LOL

Ok so I had to look up your "nerdy challenge" in your signature - what an awesome idea that is! Hubby and I are both huge LOTR fans...our wedding bands are One Ring replicas I wonder if folks here would be interested in starting a new Eowyn challenge?

OK Paul -- that just made me laugh! I'm a bit "boob loss sensitive" as I had a reduction this year. I made a (good) choice to have them made smaller. HOWEVER, that was before IP and so now that I'm losing weight, and losing more THERE, I'm starting to panic a bit. Enough already! Gotta keep what I got left!

Ok, so then that made ME go have to look up your signature... I love your first goal-- to get out of the "morbidly obese" category. I just met that goal last weigh in. My friends looked at me like I was crazy when I was excitedly saying "wooo hooo-- I'm no longer morbidly obese! Now I'm just obese!".... I don't think they "got it" so couldn't appreciate why I was excited.
  • For those of you who have been asking, you can find info on the nerdy LOTR challenge here: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/chic...lk-mordor.html

    HAHAHAHA. This is hilarious.

I've found that I lost in my boobs ...haha still large chested but i dont want them shrinking tooo much. And my legs by my bum, pants are getting a little saggy bottomed. hahah.

I'm hoping the belly goes soon, then ill be the happiest of all campers
  • I've always heard : First in, last out! Where you gain it first will be the last place to go. Seems to be the truth for me and my thunder thighs ha!

And I am SO joining up for the LoTR challenge! Love it!
  • I do seem to be losing more slowly in the tummy area. I think the boobs and face were first to go - OK with me, since I have a double chin and oversized chest. I can tell I am losing in my hips disproportionately to my waist just because of how clothes fit. On Friday, someone at work pointed out that I looked ready to move down a pants size - but even though the pants I had on were way, way too big in the hips, I am not quite small enough in the waist for the next size down...

Glad to know it may even out later. Thank you, Paul, for asking this question!
