  • Welcome to the newest segment of 10 days in the life boat.

Remember this is not a "challenge" but a place for accountability to ourselves and support.

So what is your plan for this 10 day segment?

Grab an oar and join us doing our best to stay dry.
  • WOW! That 10 days flew by.

My goal a full 10 day stretch of staying POP on WW and being careful about crunchies.
  • Can I join? Kids back to school on Tuesday so being in the lifeboat will help cope with the new schedule. I am studying, doing some voluntary work in my son's school and determined to maintain the downward trend with my weight.
    Life vest on
    Oars in hand
    Cast off !!!
  • MountainWalker hop on board. Grab an oar and start rowing.
  • well I made it through the last 10 day segment just fine but I'm not starting this one too swell. I fell out of the boat big time. Went to a bbq and went over my calories by about 700. yikes. my objective is to stay in the boat every single day of the rest of this chapter. I can do it. I'm excited about my September goals so that has refreshed me a bit. Good luck to everyone!
  • reporting in!

These days are really flying by.
I had a splash day yesterday though I also found a part of myself that I had hid behind my mask.
Today was a 360 turn, felt refreshed and I got the exercises done

@Chubbygirl253 - What I realized yesterday when I was basically sinking was that this is a journey and not a sprint.

I was looking through some sucess stories, and it may say 50 lbs in 2 months or so.

That doesnt mean that every day they were taking off 1.XX lbs

They had some ups and downs in the scales and some struggles.

Here is what I know: You cannot get fat in one day or in one meal.
This happens overtime and is consistent to gain much weight.
What is more consistent in your case is rocking out those exercises and eating well.
So one or two days wont break the bank

Day 3 here we come! (time sure has flown)

Edit: I had overeaten in the XXXX range :U (dont feel to down)
  • Kept dry so far and finding it OK so far!
Trying to focus on NSV's as muc as the scales.
Jillian Michaels book helping me to stay out of trouble!
  • Made it through day one. Did have crunchy carbs but stayed w/i my points.
  • reporting in again!

    kept pretty dry!

    Got my exercises in

Really starting to see the inches go off.
My scale at home is...well I am not able to weigh myself on it yet, but that will change soon

    Cheers Shipmates!
  • today was a nice dry day in the boat! I feel good. Back is almost all the way better (90%?) Got a little over 2 hours of cardio in. Did PiYo, my hardest class of the week. Set myself some fun goals for Sept and I feel refreshed and excited. Had some yummy food but everything was within calorie range, yay!

    My goals for Sept:
    1. to lose 13 lbs (get down to 287 by 9/30. That's 25% of my TOTAL goal!)
    2. to do 60 hours of cardio this month (15 hrs a wk)
    3. to log 60 miles of walking, jogging, elliptical, cycling, rowing, cross-trainer, etc.
  • laura you are doing so well with your exercise! Glad your back is better!
I have been dry so far which I am pleased about. Had a bit of trouble yesterday with my son's dad who is an ar$e and got rather upset....but stayed dry!
    Keep on rowing team!
  • today was day in the boat and it was a great day!

I had a guest pass and I took my mom with me. I invited her last night and she was so excited she called me 3 times to ask questions. And decided to go to walmart at 7:30 this morning to buy new workout clothes. Cute. (She was already planning on joining this weekend when they are running a special promotion waiving the join fees and was super thrilled to get a sneak peak) She tried all the machines I like and also walked a mile around the track. I kept telling her to go easy but she ended up doing 1hr and 40mins of cardio. I just hope she isn't sore or anything tomorrow. She wanted to keep going!
Afterward we went to Subway for a healthy lunch. I'm glad she had a great time and when we got home and logged onto myfitnesspal she saw she burned over 1000 calories.

As for me, food and calories were great today and I did 2hrs of cardio and 30mins strength training. Also I completed 8 miles of my 60-mile goal. Maybe I set that goal too low. It's only day 2 and I'm 1/6th done?
  • Got splashed yesterday. I almost never eat ice cream but a small cone called out to me. Today should be dry.
  • day 3 in the boat! I'm doing great. food is good and I did 3 hrs of cardio and 30 mins of strength training today. And I'm doing great on my Sept goals so far. Its my TOM but I don't seem to be retaining much water. Hoping to lose for my Thursday weigh-in.
  • Today was pretty good.

I realize that when I get a late start on things it just starts a chain and such.
I have not yet put on the tape for today but will do so after this post!

    Cheers to moving and grooving!

    Edit: Exercise complete

    Now moving on towards: sleep
