Blargh. The kids and I took a spin up to Burlington (unsucessful as the stores my daughter wanted to shop at were closed) and got home with a minimum of overheating. (My waterpump is on the way out)My son picked up his things and I went to take him back to his destination when my car died on the way.It just quit in the middle of the road, the engine light came on, and that was that. The starter spins but doesn't catch at all. I'm wondering if the timing belt gave way.
Oh well, it could have been worse--it could have quit on the interstate where I would have HAD to have it towed. It broke only about 3 miles from home.

Now I have to figure out how to get the thing fixed with zippo for money. I have two more weeks of classes to get through.
With a little help from my friends, I have a loaner Jeep for the week (it turns out someone I know is in Guatemala for a week) and the car got a cheap flatbed tow to the mechanic. Now I have to cross my fingers that the car is repairable.
