Week 2- is harder than week 1?

  • Did anyone find week 2 harder than week 1? I am on Week 2, day 5 and for the last 2 days have had worse cravings than I did during week 1. I've been OP and have not cheated, so I am wondering if anyone has experienced this. Thanks!
  • I had some ups and downs during Week 2 but found it generally easier. For me it was more about the expectations. I knew Week 1 was going to be difficult so when I started it I was prepared for the cravings, etc. Moving onto the 2nd week I thought it would be much easier but not all the cravings disappear so maybe it's just a matter of managing one's expectations as one progresses on this diet.

You're 100% OP so you should definitely be proud of yourself. Keep at it!
  • I'm not sure what diet plan you're using, but I can tell you that I don't really experience bad cravings on the Atkins plan. I'm not that person that eats alot of meat and junk just because I can on this diet, but rather a well-rounded diet, keeping a close eye on my carbs in order to keep my blood sugar maintained at a relatively even keel. Ask yourself what it is that you're craving...Sweets? Eat some sugar free jello...for me, being on primarily low carb I can cook a low-carb cheesecake and have it in the fridge when I want a sweet fix. Pasta? How about making some spaghetti squash with pasta sauce instead. Mashed potatoes? Try mashed cauliflower made just the way you'd make mashed potatoes (I was skeptical of both of those since cauliflower and squash are probably my 2 least favorite veggies, but wow..very yummy!)
