  • Happy Hump Day! I didnt see this posts yet and I look forward to it so I'd figured I'd start one.

    Phase 1, Week 5, Day 1

    Breakfast:
    IP Chocolate Drink, Oh my this taste like hot chocolate

    Lunch:
    IP Chicken Soup
    1 c. Cabbage and a salad w/1 c. of raw broccoli, w/ WF dressing

    Snack:
    IP Salt & vinegar Ridges

    Dinner:
    8 oz chicken breast (pan fried in Pam)
    1 c. cabbage and 1 c. cucumbers w/ WF Dressing

    Hey! I am on vacation and have access to a kitchen. Does anyone have creative ideas for the chicken soup packet?

    Spinach + Lettuce
    2 cups Half-Caf Coffee
    WF Caramel

    Lunch@12pm: Spicy Soup
    IP Chicken Soup
    Roasted Pepper Puree

    Snack@4pm: Pudding Waffles
    IP Lemon Pudding
    2 Egg Whites
    1/2 tsp Baking Powder
    WF Pancake Syrup

    Dinner@8pm: Rhubarb Upside Down Cake
    IP Crispy Cereal
    2 Egg Whites
    Rhubarb
    WF Strawberry Spread (1 tbsp for stewing rhubarb)
    WF Caramel Sauce (drizzled over the top)

    You can make savory waffles out of the puddings if you have a waffle iron, or 'flatbread' using just your pan (for both add 2 whipped egg whites, ~3oz water, and 1/2 tsp baking powder).

    Personally I usually just add my roasted veggie puree of choice to the chicken soup to change the flavor (roasted cauliflower+celery+garlic for 'homey potato' or roasted poblano+bell pepper+jalapeno+garlic for 'spicy soup'...those are my top 2 purees).

    You can also make a veggie sautee using the soups as a 'gravy base', perhaps with some cucumber or zucchini noodles (if you have a julienne slicer available).

    Lunch Proti-thin chicken noodle soup with 1 cup roasted vegie mix
    Dinner Shrimp Louie Salad w/ lettuce, cukes, pepper strips & Walden Farms 1000 Island with a dash of tabasco.

    Snack (either mid afternoon or evening, whenever I feel I need it- HealthSmart Rocky Road protein bar.

    2 cups steamed cauliflower

    Dinner:
    8 oz baked salmon
    Salad with 2 cups of cucumber, red pepper and tomato
    Olive oil dressing

    Snack:
    IP Cappuccino Drink

    Question (I meant to ask my coach but forgot...): on the Phase 1 sheet it states that salmon is only permitted once a week, does anyone know why?

    I'm the new kid on the block right now, but I think it is because the salmon has more fat in it than other types. It could be a calorie thing too, not sure though. Too bad, I have a freezer full of salmon just waiting to be eaten!

    Dinner: thinking about some beef or pork slices with iceberg lettuce...

    I hopefully will be able to incorporate different recipes into my day as I get used to IP. Today was the first day I wasn't dying of hunger! SO HAPPY about that!!!

    IP vanilla pudding

    Lunch:
    IP mango RTD
    Spinach, cucumber, peppers with lemon and spices

    Dinner:
    'Big Mac' in a bowl

    Snack:
    IP chocolate drink heated with cinnimon
