If THIS Isn't Dandy!

  • Something must be going RIGHT.....

Considering the cold and the crappy day I had, there was one ray of sunshine....I decided to do my weigh-in for my weekly progress chart, as well as measure myself, and I am down 8 more pounds! The best part is that I tried on a couple of size 22/24 pants and spring dresses I had lying around from last year(when they were a little snug), and they fit GREAT! Plus I can now order the size 2X in clothes from Blair instead of the 3X...YAYYYYY !!!

  • Hi loraden!

    AWESOME about your weight loss!!

That is SOOOOOOoo EXCITING to be able to wear smaller clothes/to try on things that were once snug and be able to wear them! I LOVE that feeling !
    GOOD FOR YOU!!
  • It is dandy,
Very happy for your weight loss, keep up the good work. I was a size 30/32 and I am now a 18/20 and still working hard at it.
But here is a little advise as you start not fitting into the bigger clothes which I am sure will happen to you soon the way you are going. A co-worker told me to get rid of all the big clothes because it is almost like an insurance that if you get big you will be fine because you have the clothes to back you up, and so I did I got rid of all of them except one pair of pants and one shirt which hangs in my bedroom as of a reminder of where I never want to go again. Well, best of luck to you and congratulations on your 8 pounds.

  • I did the same thing, tossed everything except my jeans and my sleep shirts....they are a 3x, but I love them and wont toss em!!

    Congrats Lori!! Your doing great!!
  • I have a cat nightshirt that is a 26/28 that I am STILL wearing--and I am keeping a couple of favorite outfits once the weight loss goals are met (then again, when will that be? LOL!)

Anyway, I saw the doctor today. I should know the results of my thyroid levels and triglycerides (did I spell that right?) next week. Anyway, he has checked my previous tests and it appears that I am borderline diabetic--but the good news is that it isn't anything "a lifestyle change will help," which is what I have been doing anyway. The only difference is that my new caloric intake has gone up from 1200 calories to 1500--"to be on the safe side." ANDDDDDDD...if the weather stays decent, I can keep on walkin' my butt off (oh yes, and the rest of me too)!
  • TOSS them??? You could sell them on eBay and make a few $$$ to spend on your new wardrobe!!
