  • I haven't seen chickadee32 around in a while, so I'll get this started...

    The rules of our challenge are simple. We are here to provide each other some accountability along the path to weight loss, so just set a weight loss related goal(s) and I'll add it to our goal list for the month of July. When you reach your goal for the month it will be turned RED in our goal list!

    We have a sister thread for exercise goals, July Exercise Challenge, and all your exercise-related goals can be posted there; this thread is for weight-related goals specifically.

    We love to hear about your success as well as your challenges throughout the month, so please share them with us. We're here to support and encourage each other to be our best.

  • I've had a hard time staying on track this summer and I don't think July is going to be any better. Work is crazy, there are a bunch of cookouts planned, and I'm turning the big 3-0 (Oh no! ) this month. I'm going to keep it simple and just try to reach my June goal of 195.

    In June, I took a two-week trip to Ireland and gained a couple of pounds. No biggie. But then I took a two-week trip to crazy-ville and gained several more. So, July is about putting the pieces all back together again.

    My July 1 weight was 172.4.
    Today's weight is 170.4. (Woohoo!)
    I would love to make it back to 165 by the end of July.

    So, that's my goal: 165 pounds
  • I have had a really difficult time sticking to plan for the last 2 months...I am hoping to turn it all around starting now though. Going on a trip in 2 weeks to visit family, was hoping to be in onederland by then but that definitely didn't happen so I am now just shooting to stay on plan and at least feel good about doing that.

    My goal for July is to lose 12 pounds...good luck to all of you with your goals!
  • I am brand new to this site ... I would love to join your July challenge. My goal would be to lose 6 lbs by the end of July ... my weight this morning was 176.6; I would like to be down to 170 by the end of the challenge.

    My goal this month: to get to 136.

    Gardenerjoy and Steph, I've been to crazy-ville in May and have been trying to get rid of those extra pounds ever since! For me, it's easy to gain, hard to lose.

  • Such a challenge to break the 230's...I am determined to have done it by next weigh in though. Need to get back out there to exercise too it has been forever since I have been on the trail!
  • I find myself looking at the ultimate goal weight for everyone and wondering what they used to figure out where they want to be... I have been looking at the ones who are similar in height to me and there seems to be a big range. I am aiming for 175 even though it says I should be under 155 but I have been 175 before (too long ago) and I felt good about myself so aimed for it again. I don't have the body structure to be "skinny" and have really looked forward to having curves but healthy curves rather than what I got going on right now. I know that once I get to my goal of 175 I still may want to go further and lose more but I know that once I get to where I feel like I look and feel good it won't matter if the scale says 175, 155 or anywhere in between. Anyone else have thoughts on this?
