Overweight vs. thin body scan

  • Here is an image of a 250lb person vs. a 120lb person body scan. The image is worth taking a look at, imo! Very interesting!

Mods, I wasn't sure where to post this. If there is a more appropriate thread, please feel free to re-locate.
  • Is this real?
I feel like I can actually see the pressure on the joints of the 250lb one. Especially the ankles. Don't know if that's a correct observation.
  • Wow! Eye opener for sure!
  • OMG!!!!!! Gross, but inspiring. Thanks for posting this amazing comparison.
  • Omg! That's the craziest picture! I couldn't stop looking at it. Thanks for posting it. That definitely gives a different look of things and I feel really really good about being on my weight loss journey and staying on plan
  • I think the image originally came from this article, which elaborates more on the health consequences for the higher weight woman:

  • What's really frightening is the fat surrounding all the organs, yikes!
  • Even more reason to shed those pounds ladies!

Thank you so much for sharing this, it really is eye opening.

Thank you for posting the source!

Yeah, it is scary to see the impact on the joints and the organs, isn't it! I'm also amazed by how thin the obese body really is and how it can emerge once the fat melts away. Mind-blowing!
  • I have never gotten to that size before, but that's actually kind of frightening.

It really shows the issues of obesity beyond a superficial level ("fat people are gross").
  • That is extremely frightening and a real eye opener.
  • It makes me wonder...with the fat that surrounding organs..Does anyone think maybe when they lose weight and there not losing inches on the outside.. that you could be losing fat on the inside?? Just a thought.

That is exactly what happens! And it's a VERY good thing! My liver went from severely fatty to slightly fatty in a few months and my clothing size didnt change all that much. My liver and other organs are surely thanking me. I had my liver checked with a similar scan.
  • Thank you for posting that! I needed to see that. I've been putting of speed walking today and this just motivated my booty to get walking!
