    Yesterday was kind of a rough day. My mom and my grandma had decided to start IP with me about a week ago, and on Friday night (the day before weigh in on Saturday) they told me they were going to do it on their own using alternative products to save money.

    It made me really sad that we wouldn't be going in together and really doing the program together, but I know they'll probably still have good success. I told them I couldn't compare my weigh in's with theirs each week though because I needed to stay focused on what I was doing and not get distracted or question the program, the money I was spending, etc. I respect their decision but I need to stay focused.

    I know a lot of folks on this board are using various alternative products but I was wondering if there were a group of us on this board using nothing but 100% IP products, supps, etc. who would like to compare notes each week.

    I'm down 16 pounds so far in 18 days and I'm so excited! I'm wondering if 100% IP products make a difference in side effects, amount of weight loss each week, etc.

    Any takers for weekly check in's and comparing notes?

    I a just started IP this week. (Yesterday) I am using 100% IP products and I want to join the 100% IP club with you. I have tried the herb omelet, broccoli cheese soup and the pina colada drink. I loved all of them. The omelet is really good and filling. That will be my favorite breakfast, I'm sure.

  • I too am doing strictly IP -- no alternatives. You and I have very similar stat's. As of friday, I had lost 12.6 in 13 days OP. I did weigh myself this morning and I am done 14 pounds in about 15 days!. I realize this weight loss will slow down some; but it still feels great!

    I would love to converse back and forth about our weeks! It's great that we started around the same time and am sure we will have ups and downs to share!

  • H Guys! So excited to have a few "Product" friends to share with. Yes, this weight loss has been incredible. The pounds just melt off. I know they say it will slow down a bit but I want to average no less than 4 pounds per week. If the program says 3-5 pounds per week than that's what I'm going to lose. It really isn't worth the money otherwise. I just feel so great, and my pants are already starting to loosen considerably!

    I'm really into the shakes. They're my mainstay, and the chocolate drink mix which I like to have heated up in the microwave so I can have "hot chocolate". It's soooo yummy.

  • I WI on friday. I know you aren't supposed to weigh in between, but I just couldn't resist. I have already dropped 2 pounds. That's great for me. I also wondered how you get your weight stats, S/C/G to show up in the left column. Do you type that in yourself each time? Is that part of your signature? I searched through the FAQ's and couldn't find it.
  • I actually weigh in daily. I'm not a fan of the once a week weighing. I use an App on my iPhone called weightbot that gives me my daily, weekly, and monthly stats. I also use my at home scale to log my "Official" weigh in's. The doctor's scale is great for keeping general track but I want up to the minute, play by play, on what my body is doing. Since I weigh in at the exact same time, on the exact same scale at home, in my birthday suit, I know the number is pretty stinking accurate everyday. Also, I update my stats here whenever I'm excited about a loss instead of on the "official weigh in day" I'm in to doing whatever keeps me motivated, and what if I retain a pound of water on weigh in day? Forget that!...lol.

    The stats on the side on under provide. If you scroll down where it give's you options to enter a bunch of stuff you should see it. I think it's the third or fourth option.

  • I wonder if the quality of the IP products is such that those just using the products see better fat % losses. We know that those that stay 100% see similar weight loss regardless of the actual products used.

    My curiosity comes from the use of gelatin and collagen as a main protein source (not just an occasional one) in some of the alternatives.

    Perhaps Amanda and her mom and grandmother would be willing to track weight loss each week and inches lost from one location, maybe fullest part of the waist and/or hips? That would be a cool thing to watch.

    I'll post my track record soon when I get a chance.

    Not a bad question, or a bad idea. Actually, I think my mom and grandma can still go to the clinic to get body compositions done so that might give an even better idea.

    Just out of curiosity, how do we know that folks on alternatives are losing at the same rate as folks on IP products? Has this board ever done a side by side comparison over the long haul?

    Also, if other folks are mad about my asking please don't hit me over the head. I'm not trying to be a jerk I'm just curious. After all, this is an Ideal Protein site, so I'm curious if those using Ideal Protein as written are having more success.

    This thread is a place for those using the products to feel safe asking these questions without getting their heads bitten off. I know alternatives are crazy popular here, but I'm really committed to the way Ideal Protein has set up and developed their products, and I really hope people don't get angry with me about it. If you are angry please don't read this thread, it will probably just tick you off.

  • I am 100 percent IP products since January. I think I am too afraid to try anything else because it is definitely working
  • I think that's a great idea Amanda. I just started and would like to converse with those that are 100% IP. I have my first weigh in tomorrow.
