Kerri - WW is something I tried to avoid for years because I just thought it wouldn't work for me. I have tried different programs since I was a teenager and most of those were short lived and they just weren't realistic to maintain as a lifestyle. Plus, I still wanted to be able to eat certain "bad" foods lol.
Finally in January I felt desperate and just said the heck with it and joined WW. I was nervous at first, especially with the points, but it was pretty easy to catch on to! When I first started I think I was allowed about 56 points per day. Plus each week you have a bank of 45 "extra weekly" points, in case you go over at some point during the week. (They actually encourage you to eat some of your weekly points). Plus if you exercise you earn points that you can use if you want. Each time you lose a certain amount of weight, your daily points go down. So right now I'm allowed 42 points per day. I can honestly say that I never truly feel starved on WW. If anything, at times I've found it hard to eat all of my daily points, let alone my weekly points.
So even though I'm not a paying WW member anymore, I really do love the plan. I just wasn't a big fan of their website. I felt like for what they charge members, their website could have been a little more high tech and with less bugs to work out on it. I'm now using a free WW app on my cell phone and it works just as good.
