Hey Mel, I'm no math whiz, but we had to lose more than 2.7 pounds as a team if selway lost 5 all by herself......

Well she lost 5, but some people gained- so when you combine all the losses and then subtract the gains we were at 2.7, but thanks for keeping me honest!

Oh, darn. I was hoping that was a math error. We didn't do so good this week.

It was just a tough week for me and I am frustrated as all get-out! But, I have already signed onto the nutrition thread (for writing down everything I put in my mouth) and the exercise thread (which is one department I need to improve) for week 6. I'm determined to get this weight loss moving again and think some serious exercise will help!

Wow, selway! Even the weeks I was perfectly on plan with Medifast with no optional snacks, the best I could do was lose 4.5 pounds. I would be thrilled for a 2 pound week after this long. Keep up the great work!

Montecristo and zogo, hang in there. Zogo, this challenge is really helping me kick it up exercise wise. My goal is just to do something every day. I only missed 1 day in May - that is a new record for me! Don't beat yourself up; just get back at it today.

Riddy - Thank you, but I am afraid the woosh is probably coming to an end soon. I seem to plateau forever and then woosh for a few weeks, then plateau....so I just try to enjoy the woosh while it lasts and then persevere through the plateaus.

I'm so sorry I missed weigh in getting back on track this week. Been going back and forth to the doctor due to fluid on my knee and foot and been in a lot pain. Hopefully I can do well this week because weight loss has been at a stand still. Congratulations to all the losers. Selway you rock girl. Keep up the good work.

I have always struggled with food. Exercise isn't that bad because I think it is possible to find some type of exercise that one enjoys. I hurt my knee a week and a half ago and last week was my TOM. The plan for this week is to start to follow the Beck Diet Solution (a cognitive behavioural therapy program) to change my eating habits. I have only four months until my friends destination wedding in Mexico and would love to get into the 150s by then.

A rainy day here, which makes me sad as I'd love to 'see' the transit of Venus. Guess I'll watch it's the web, just like the most recent eclipse.

Struggling with food this week. I can cheep things in check until about 5:30 and then I go off the rails and eat everything in sight. Hmmm . I'm not sure if it's because I'm eating 'relatively' the same thing for breakfast/lunch. I'm a creature of habit. Maybe I need to change it up? Something to ponder...

I lost 2lbs yesterday! That's more than I've lost the whole rest of the competition, and I didn't even do something crazy! Now if I can just crank out another pound or two by Sunday....

Hi everyone -- congrats to Red Team and the biggest losers.....

I'm struggling. I have had some very bad food days over the weekend and yesterday. I'm off work now for 12 days and the purpose of my taking the time off is to get on top of this. I've been in binge mode and that's not good. I think I'm having a issue with taking this seriously and I'm wishing for a quick fix....or something is wrong in my head about how I'm approaching this.....but while I've lost the recent battle, I'm not conceding the war....I WILL figure this out. I have Bob Harper's book here, and today I'm too tired to do anything other than read and maybe catch up on some more sleep. One thing is clear is that I need to get rid of binge foods -- can't have popcorn in the house, or choco chips etc.

So headachy, and need to read this book and do some thinking and revamp what my focus is -- in fact need to totally get focused and figure this out.

Very happy for those who are being successful -- I do understand those who are struggling. I think those who are successful and have had weight loss also struggle at times. This is not an easy thing....BUT we have access to a lot of nutritional knowledge available to us, and many different plans so we can take a plan and use it or tailor it to our needs....

So with the struggles, there is hope....we CAN DO THIS!

Elizabeth - don't beat yourself up, everyone has their ups and downs. I don't know how you do it with reduced sleep, I really struggle with eating during those times. Sleep and don't stress!

day started off sunny, but it is dark & the skies have opened up. Good thing too, we need the moisture.
