NSV-good labs!!

  • When the doctor’s office called today, I braced myself for The Lecture. OK, last week's checkup was WAY overdue & I've been dreading the test results. I had so rehearsed my "I'm-not-ready-for-more-meds-yet-I promise-I'll diet/exercise-more" protest speech that when she said everything was normal, sugar & cholesterol were good, all I could do was shriek "REALLY?! Are you sure?" like a fool. That call was as gratifying as seeing a good number on the scale.

    This is doable!

Now to get this pesky blood pressure under control. That will take a 20 lb drop OR getting my last kid out of the house, probably both . . .
  • Awesome! IMHO that's soooo important, maybe even more so than aesthetic successes. Way to go!
  • Thanks Katbot! Hope the post didn't sound like bragging. I've been in denial of needing high bp meds but had to finally own up. My health goal is to get off/reduce them, but very strong genetics of high bp may mean it is my destiny regardless of exercise/diet. So I was glad the other two issues - sugar & cholesterol - were under control because I get discouraged easily!
