I am canadian and did ip last year with great results. this time around I cant afford the real IP so decided to try nashua nutrition. My question for anyone who has ordered from them in the past...how much were you hit with at the door for duties??? I placed a 200 dollar order (45 of it was shipping) so I am scared of getting hit with a huge amount from duties.
Hi, I placed an order last week (125$). I was charged $35 for shipping + $30 for custom. All in all, if I compare with IP, I saved $60 for a month's worth of products.
if you go regular usps and NOT FEDEX, it is much cheaper. there is a fee of $7.00 from canada post but I purchase about 90.00 and shipping to canada was another 30. and duties and taxes were 12.00
Fed Ex is a rip off and I would NEVER select that they charge you an extra 13.00 for a handling fee. and most of the time they do NOTHING as it is considered a low value shipment and they don't have to submit any paper work to customs they just rip you off.
thank you everyone. my package came today and i paid $40 in duties. for $160 order I ended up paying an extra $80 in shipping and duties...total rip off. i think i will be ordering from proteinwell.ca next time, even though their selection is not very good.
If you are close to the American border, see if you can get a shipping address that will receive your order, & then notify you that you can pick it up. I do this, since I am 30 miles from the Michigan border. The cost of ordering from Nashua Nutrition is HALF of what Ideal Protein costs, and that is with the difference on the money figured in., Shipping is free in US. And you get 10% off if you join the Diet Club - $29. once - for life. I am very satisfied. $46 a week compared to $98 Ideal Protein.
