Started my new diet yesterday. Counted every single calorie, ditched the pepsi and drank lots of water, and worked out. Woke up this morning and weighed in 3 pounds heavier than yesterday morning! Grrrrrr
I know that's frustrating, but give your body some time to adjust to things. Your muscles may be holding water after your workout, you may be seeing effects from a few days ago or it may just be a blip. My weight is all over the place day-to-day so a new weight (up or down) doesn't count unless I see it two days in a row!
Last week I was down almost a pound after eating french fries and onion rings the night before. Two days later it was back after being ultra-good. I have yet to figure out what makes my body decide to let go of the weight, but I do (finally!) understand that if I am OP consistently good things will happen.
Congrats on a great day one, a few more of those strung together will show you some results.
Aaaahhh, I always "gain weight" after a work out, I assume from water retention in the muscles. Give yourself time! I do weigh nearly daily, only because I do get used to the fluctuations, and i don't freak out when it's high...it's prob hormones, exercise or salt related, etc.
Great job yesterday!
Well today was day 8. It's getting easier... I'm down a few pounds and feeling less frustrated!
That is wonderful news! Keep it up!! I bounce all over the place day to day, but the overall trend over weeks/months is DOWN. You are doing great!!
Congrats! I know how discouraging it is to work out and then see an increase on the scale. When I experience that I just remember how it felt when I was on point and the scale showed big losses. It motivates me to just keep going.
