Recovering from the fall

  • I recently moved from one state to another, had to live in a room with two separate people (through Craigslist), then had a transition to a new job. I also went through the stress of house hunting/buying during that period. So to say that I got out of my dieting routine and positive rut would be an understatement.

Before this I had successfully lost 31 pounds. I've since gained back 13 of it and moved back up a pants size, along with finding myself within four pounds of hitting 200 pounds again. But now that I'm FINALLY back into a routine, I'm forcing myself back into the dieting and exercise race. Goodbye 7-11 apple fritters, goodbye Turtle's candy bars, adios homemade lemon pies. I can feel the fat I've gained that wasn't there before, and I remember how good I felt at my 31 pound weight loss, and I miss it. I see some people who seem content to live with their rolls of fat - I'm not one of them. So this recent memory of the feeling I had at my lowest weight is my motivation to achieve it again and to pass it.
  • You seem pretty determined to get back in shape, seems like you already took the first steps by returning to a healthy routine that has helped you in the past.
All I can say is congrats for being so strong and motivated, with your attitude I'm sure no goals are unreachable!
Good luck and keep us posted on your progress, because it's so nice to see people with such a positive vibe!
  • I think you are amazing for being able to stop at regaining only 13 pounds. You should give yourself major points.

Congrats for getting back on track! Go to it!
  • Thanks tricon for bringing this up. This will serve as an inspiration to those who want to aim for a healthy lifestyle.
