New to Medifast - Starting Today.

  • Hello. Thought I would post here and sort of introduce myself. I am new to Medifast, just recieved and started my food today. My Mom lost quite a bit of weight on this program and has kept it off for over a year now and its time that I give it a try. I have done low-carb diets before but need a little more structure this time around.

So Hi to all of you, I hope to be able to learn a lot, keep motivated and stay on track....this forum will definitely help! Any suggestions you have for me are also much appreciated!
  • The thing that has helped me the most is to ALWAYS have a couple of bars in my car, purse and desk drawer. I eat chicken every other night, which I make in the crock pot (sooo easy). I HATE to cook, so Medifast is really a great choice for me.

The pre-made shakes are WAY better than the powdered ones IMO. They cost a bit more, but it's worth it. I have found that I really really like 3 or 4 medifast meals and I pretty much stick to just those. The caramel bars, premade dutch chocolate shakes, peanut butter bars and parm puffs are my favorites. The oatmeal is good, and the chocolate pudding is tolerable, but I work long hours so I go with what is easiest.

    Good luck!
