I was browsing reviews for a certain diet that hit the market recently and came across this site. I am so happy that I did. I have been overweight for most of my life. At this point I am catagorized in the "morbidly obese". While I would normally say that my New Years resolution was to lose weight, this year I did not even make one. I always end up flubbing it about about mid-way through January. My motivation is my 2 young children. I am 28, 5'5", 256 lbs and I feel it every morning when I wake up. I wake up with aches and pains that a person my age should not have. While I would like to get down to 150 lbs, my main goal is to be healthy, be able to get outside with my kids and not feel limited. I want to be a good example for them. I have tried a variety of diets, with no long term success. I hope to use this site as a tool to help me in this journey.
Hopefully I can get my hubby on board as well!!
Glad you found us! This place is filled with tons of resources so educate yourself on the different eating plans etc. Lots of us do calorie counting
