  • I am a 22 year old male. I'm currently attending college, and am over weight. The last year my weight has really shot up and I made the decision I had to do something about it. I have been somewhat over weight my entire life, not to the extent I am now though. I want to do this for my health, plus I love helping the community. So hopefully in a few months I can run my first 5k for children burn victims. Hopefully this sight will guide me on my journey. Thanks for your time
  • Joshua. Check out our Forum and find out where you feel comfortable. There is a Men's Corner but you are welcome anywhere.

By the way, I modified your profile to remove Fitday and the Ticker. You cannot have a ticker until after 20 days and 20 posts. If you have Fitday, it should be entered into your profile as just the user name, not the whole link.
  • Thanks
  • Hi Joshua! As Ruth said, there is a Men's Corner, but also feel free to join us in the 20 somethings!

    Welcome to 3fc!
  • Joshua, welcome, glad to have you join us.
  • Welcome! I'm sure you'll find a ton of support here. I sure have. I like to check out the "goal" sections when I'm feeling a little down. Hehe Good luck!!
  • thanks everyone for the support. so far the last 2 days I have lost 2.2 pounds from my jogging/walking and working out. Hopefully I can keep it up
  • Joshua,

Welcome. Lots of good advice here. Do you have a nutrition plan?
  • I somewhat have a plan. Morning at 8AM I eat i packet of low fat oatmeal, with 1 cut up banana in it. Around noon time I have 1 can of tuna fish, with 1 boiled egg white mixed in. 3PM I try just to find something healthy around the house, I could use some ideas for that time. 6pm I eat usual diner, I just cut down the serving size. Most the time its grilled/baked chicken. then around 8pm I have snack well 100 calorie for my sweet tooth. But you I could use some healthy snake tips also for during the day. Thanks
