I missed everyone here and I need to start posting again. I have managed to gain a bit more weight since I have been here last but I am not stressing this time since I know what I need to do! Time to get tough
. I just got a new Android smartphone last week (Samsung Infuse) and I am looking to download an app that has a thorough listing of the calorie count on not only common foods, but also restaurants that are in Canada. Can anyone suggest a great app that will accomplish this? There are quite a few floating around but I want to use one that you ladies have had success with, especially if I have to pay for it. I don't mind if it has to connect to the internet to work. I already downloaded the fitness pal calorie counter app and I am now using this program on my laptop as well. I like it because it has a pretty good database of foods but I am still getting used to the change over from Fitday where I had more control over customizing entries but it was more work to input new foods.
I am glad to be back because it means I am on track

I have been playing with the myfittnesspal android app and I think it will meet my needs for both a calorie counter and a searchable index. I was thinking I would need something separate to find the calorie count of less common foods but it does seem to have everything. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't automatically show the amount of calories for each food. I really LOVE the barcode scanner. I used it to enter my rice cake snack today. It can't get much easier than that
That is the main reason I like it on the iPhone. Hopefully they add that support soon!
