Need to lose last 10-15 lbs

  • I have been at a plateau for months and I have about 10-15 pounds left to lose and I can't seem to lose them. I have started to introduce "regular" foods back into my diet because I don't want to shock my body later. I also go to the gym about 5 times a week. Does anyone have any advise on how to lose this weight by Christmas? I am also a graduate student so I don't have a lot of money so I can't afford such services such as WW and P90X (which I have looked into and I am interested but I can't spend that much on it) Please HELP!
  • Do you count calories? That really is the least expensive way to lose weight while eating "regular" foods. There are many free calorie tracking sites that make it easy and, if you have a smartphone, many of them have free apps.
  • I count calories like CRAZY! lol i am going to try p90x and see how that turns out. it just seems that whatever i am doing at the gym is not enough and that i need to shock my body again (that's usually how i get out of a plateau). but thank you for the advise!
  • What was your diet so far? I guess you could try to eat only proteins (meat, eggs, whey protein, dairy... though be careful with the milk) for a few days, which should make your metabolism faster. Then add some vegetables and after some time - fruits. When you reach your goal start adding more complex carbs, but slowly in order to avoid gaining weight. This usually works for me
