Hi, I'm new here...

  • Hi, I'm new here... although I've known about 3FC for years...

    I will tell my story.

I have been overweight my entire life. I can't even remember a time when I haven't been "chubby"... when I was a child and teenager I was never obese or fat, but always chubby. I could never get the weight off, and believe me I tried everything.

When I moved in with my boyfriend, I became very relaxed in the relationship and gained even more weight, bringing me to 180lbs (or more - I'm not sure; I never weighed myself after I hit 180) ... I am very short, a couple inches over 5 feet.

That was four years ago. I remained at that high weight for a year, feeling awful and lethargic and dizzy every morning. I started to go for hikes and walks outside but people yelled rude and insensitive remarks towards me. It only ever REALLY hurt my feelings if my boyfriend were with me - I didn't want him to be ashamed of being with me.

Anyway, after a year of that, I decided to do something about my weight, and I exercised more and became a vegetarian for about a year... I only lost about 10lbs but I felt better about myself, and when we moved to another town, I joined TOPS and lost another 25lbs, bringing me to 145.

Then we got married and I ate my way back up to 160 within a few months!!

After this New Year's I went on Atkins and have lost 13lbs so far (since the 2nd of January). We work out on average 3x a week. I jog and do weights.

I have a feeling I will reach my goal (120) this year, if not by the summer!
