New guy

  • And yes, I am a guy, hope that's ok here.

I don't have a lot of time right now, but I did want to introduce myself before I start posting n00b-like questions.

Essentially, I don't have a significant weight problem, so the reasons I am interested in adopting, firstly, a diet to achieve a 'proper' weight, and then, secondly, to follow a healthier lifestyle of eating and drinking are a bit more complex than just feeling that I need to do something about my weight as and end in itself.

I need to get my weight down to around 190lbs, or in English money, 85kgs.

I am currently a calorie counter, but do have other questions to ask about the particular food groups that we maybe should, or indeed, should not, be following. More of that later, I hope.

Anyway, I have to go now, and hope to catch up with some of you later.

    Tim (2x3=6) (don't ask)
  • Welcome to 3FC =)

Despite the name, most members are not only avoiding typical "diets" (ie that "on the diet/off the diet" behavior that is so awful), but there are plenty of gents who use the site! (We jokingly call them Roosters instead of Chicks)

Glad to have you join us!

There's a Calorie Counters section under Diet Central. There's also a Men's Corner under Support Groups. As well as plenty of other support groups and areas dedicated to different subjects of weight loss and fitness

Look around when you have the time. Post and participate.

Can't wait to see you around the boards and best of luck with your goals!
  • I also like to call the lads "Roosters" on here! Welcome to the forum! Looking forward to your posts!
  • Welcome and good luck !
  • He he, 'rooster'!

Thanks for the welcome, let's try and make it work this time.
