I met a Mini Goal that I hadn't even set yet!

  • So I've been on South Beach for about 2 months now and thought I had only met two of my Mini Goals- No longer be obese and weigh something below 200 lbs. Apparently my scale has been 4 pounds off from the beginning and only when I went for a yearly check up with my doctor did I find out that I AM FINALLY BELOW 190!! I haven't cheated in the entire two months and I'm feeling really good about my 14 pound weight loss. I can finally fit in clothing that isn't an extra large! Only 38 more pounds to go!

  • I just got book The south beach diet. It is a good book. But I cannot imagine myself eating potato chips or fries. Anyone eating them?

  • Thank you, everyone! I'm joining a balletone class with a friend and even signing up for a 5k walk/jog sponsored by my school, so that'll put me even closer to my ultimate goal! Everyone keep up the good work!

    I just make baked sweet potato fries. I cut them into fry shapes, sprinkle them with salt, pepper, some cinnamon, a little splenda(optional) and bake thrm for about an hour at 350 F on a pan sprayed with cooking spray. They actually taste pretty good dipped in a little bit of sour cream. Hope you like them!
