Hello All,
I’m new to the community but have been reading posts over the past two years. I have only now just gotten the courage to join.
My situation is not pretty. My BMI is over 45. I have hypothyroidism and high cholesterol. I used to carry most of my weight in my derriere and my thighs but am starting to gain weight in my stomach.
I plan to go back on the Metabolic Research Center diet. I would also like to participate in a Zumba class but am afraid of being ridiculed. I would love to hear from anyone who can offer some words of advice or share your story of how you overcame your fear of public exercise classes.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post and I wish you all the best.

Sounds like you have a plan and that's great! As far as worry of what others think, remember you are doing this for YOU, and everyone has a starting point. I also think you will find that people are more supportive, for the most part, than what you would think. It's the reason shows like the "Biggest Loser" have become so popular. Honestly most of the people who do make remarks or judge, it's because they struggle with their own demons (just cause they don't match yours, doesn't mean they don't exist), and the difference is.. YOU are working to correct yours
You are worth the work, you are worth the effort, YOU deserve to have the rest of your life in front of you be a happier one!
