OK guys, I have been away long enough this time.
CJ called me tonight and said if I didn't post right now than she wouldn't come and visit me next month, so what could I do? I emailed her back and said I didn't want to post at the end of # 91 cause my post would get lost in the stampede to start # 92. So I told her to go ahead and start the new one so I could post. So here I am!
I have been unbelievable busy. I am still working for University Of Michigan doing surveys with the teenagers in Salem, Indiana, but that is winding down and I have done most of them. But I also started H & R Block last week and am back for my 6th year as receptionist. We have the same 3 girls, but we are alfully short handed as the other 2 have full times jobs as well and thankfully I don't have too many hours with Block, but I have been working my butt off almost every day, and hopefully we can dig another girl in to fill in. Than today our manager quit on us so we are without adult supervision. LOL So now I feel even more stressed about things. But I guess it is not my problem right?
Than I have had my 2 Air Force kids home on leave, but not at the same time. Alan, the one who just finished Tech School came home from Dec 5th till a few days before Christmas. He had to report to his 1st base at Vandenburg AFB in California. Than Tracy and her husband came home Dec 29th and just left a couple of days ago. We had to drive them to his parents in Springfield, Ohio to catch their plane. She is busy making wedding plans for their June wedding. They decided to get married a couple of months ago, so they wouldn't be separated, as they have been at Eglin AFB in Florida for 3 yrs. They just had a legal ceremony during their lunch in their fatigues, just the 2 of them. They are going ahead with their June 14th wedding in Ohio. Brett just got back froM Kuwait a couple of weeks ago and said it was really hot there and sand everywhere as it is all desert there. He was so happy to be home again. My other Kelly and myself gave her a wedding shower the other day and it went well. Plus I had New Years Eve over here with lots of family and than the next day had to take Trace and Brett to Michigan to see my Dad, their other grandmother and my sister in law, Chrissy and nieces, Emily and Ellen. Chrissy is doing well, is redoing her entire house, hardwood floors, painting, wallpapering and new floor and new furniture too. Wow whee it is beginning to look like House Beautiful. LOL Oh and CJ must have told you about our computer crashing, thanks to my dear husband who did something to it. It was down soooo long like a couple of months. So that is another reason you haven't heard from me too.
But I had been meaning to post lately, but have been in kind of a funk and have gained quite a bit of holiday weight, and am at 209. When I joined WW a few years ago I was almost 225 and I don't want to be there ever again. But I am back on track now and doing well so far. It is a New Year and you know what they say don't you? "Today is the 1st day of the rest of your life". So I am really trying and I am doing great so far.
Thanks to all you who have kept the group going. CJ, Judy, Sylvia, Carolyn, Sam, Sherry, and anyone else who kept this wonderful group going. We can't let this group die guys, we have been around for a long time and this group is so special to me.
I miss you guys so much and I see how things have changed!
Sam-Congratulations on your marriage and new baby girl. I am so happy for you. My gosh a Christmas day wedding. How romantic.
Sylvia-Good pick going to Curves, we have one here in Columbus and I hear that is a great place to workout. You have done so well too losing that weight like you have. Thanks so much for all the inspirational imfomation you have gotten for us. It is really motivating.
Judy-You sure are busy quilting arn't you? I wish I could do that. I just don't have the patience to do those. But I sure admire people who can do that. Glad your daughter is doing so well and that Allura is back with her and doing good too. Good for your son finishing #1 in his class, you must be one proud Mama. I know the feeling with 2 Air Force kids I feel so proud that they are serving their country.
Carolyn/Regency-So sorry you haven't been feeling well and are sometimes in pain. Must be rough on you. You are amazing though how you cope with it all and keep right on going. Doing so much good for your community too. Give a big hello to Joanna when you talk to her and tell her to stop in and see us again. We would love if she would come back. Send her our love.
Sherry-Hey there buddy? I was so happy that you posted and am too looking forward to continueing our friendship as well. You were sorely missed and I love hearing from you. I will have to pop off an email to you one of these days. Good for you too for joining Curves. I hear you when you say you are taking time out for yourself. I am starting to do that too. It seems that Mom's do everything for everyone except for themselves. So now I am taking time out for myself and will do what I want to do, when I want to do it.
CJ-Hey my friend. Thanks for the phone call tonight, it worked cause here I am. Actually like I told you I almost posted when I was at Chrissy's but went to bed instead. LOL Can't wait till you stop off to see us on your way to see your daughter in Kansas. What fun we will have. SET UP THE BUTTERSHOTS!!!!!!!! We can celebrate your belated birthday in style than eh? LOL
I am so happy that it is a New Year and I have a feeling that 2003 is going to be full of good things happening for The Thin Group. We are truely a family like some of us have said. Let's stick together and we will get where we want to be this year. I know I am really trying and this will be the year that we will all get there. With help from this wonderful group.
Love you guys, Sassy Sharon
