Meal Plan Question

  • How does your day go? I am using Take Shape for Life and on their website you can have a "suggest meal plan". I tried it out, but didn't totally like it so I changed a few things around. The thing I noticed is that if you pick "Suggest Meal Plan", it puts the shakes at the end of the day. Do you do this? Right now (3rd day in) I'm basically doing like this...

    Breakfast - Bar
Mid-Morning - oatmeal, eggs, or pancakes
    Lunch - Soup or shake
Afternoon - pudding or hot drink
    Dinner - L&G
Evening - soft serve or shake

However I am going to start back at the gym on July 5th (AM mostly) and was wondering if I should change it up from how I am currently doing it.

Any input or advice would be great! Thanks!

  • I think it just randomizes the meals, actually.

You can actually eat any meals in any order you want! I know people who eat 5 brownies some days.

My day usually looks like this:
    7am: coffee w/sugar free creamer
    8am: pancakes or eggs
10am: hot cocoa or dark chocolate shake
noon: soup chips or a shake or soup
3pm: bar or puffs and a diet soda, or soft serve
    6pm: lean & green meal
8:30: brownie or shake cake or bar
  • You can eat any Medifast meal at any time (within the 2-3 hr window between meals). You can eat the lean and green meal at any time. That's the beauty of the Medifast program--you can switch things around. Don't think you have to lock things in. It doesn't work that way. Those are suggestions only, for people who don't quite see how it works.

  • I mix it up all the time.
If I'm working, breakfast is usually a shake, day off breakfast is eggs, pancakes or oatmeal.
Midmorning I have a shake or bar.
Lunch is soup, puffs, pretzels, or lean & green.
Afternoon I like a shake or bar.
Dinner is usually lean & green, sometimes pancakes or eggs.
Evening I love brownies or hot cocoa, sometimes a bar.

But if some day I wake up and want a brownie for breakfast, I'm going to go for it!
