That's Right I'm Running to NYC

  • Not literally.

I think a great motivator to start excersising and get back in shape is this project....

I found out that there are 215 miles between boston and new york city. I figure that if I track the distance everytime I run it will gradually reach 215.

When I reach 215 miles I will treat myself to a trip to NYC (to visit family...and if i can swing it i'll bring a friend)

and after that (which will take a while with how exhausted my body's then....) I'll begin my next goal-- virginia beach

who's tried this? Do you guys think this is a fun way to stay motivated?
  • I think that's a fantastic way to stay motivated!
  • The spouses at Ft Bragg did a Bragg to Baghdad (their soldiers were currently deployed there) a few years ago. I think they combined all of their miles though.

I really like this idea. I am not sure where I would want to go though! There is this place in Denver I really want to go to for my birthday though, I bet I could walk the 100 miles between now and my birthday! Yeah, I can do that. Thanks for the idea!
  • I think its a great idea, only downfall for me is its over 3000 miles from here to New York City!lol.
  • lol if you run 3 miles a day you'll complete 3000 in about 3 years

butt you can always pick a closer goal
  • 2/215
    !!!!!!!
  • Cool idea!
  • Thanks for sharing, I am def going to use this motivation technique
