introducing myself...

  • Hey folks,

I am starting the couch to 5k walking program today and figured I might as well as give this a try as well. I have been to a dietitian and she has given me the guidelines for a new eating plan (I loathe to call it a diet because it is a living plan not a short term thing) and know it works because the weight falls off when I follow it, but alas that is the problem. I have a terrible time with after 8 pm snacking. *sigh*

I would very much like to see my goal weight by my anniversary of next year (May 18) so that when my husband graduates OCS, I can attend looking slim and trim. We will see.
  • Hey Kate!

I love C25K, and so do many others here - we usually have at least one thread of folks that are working their way through the program going, so look around.

For me, after 8pm snacking was pretty much essential. So instead of trying to change my fundamental nature, I plan for an evening snack and work it into my calories. I firmly believe that you have to tweak your plan to work with you, so talk to your dietician about ways you can do that.

Anyway, I'm so glad you've joined us, and can't wait to get to know you better. Jump on in and get to posting!

Hi! I'm new too and I was reading about the Couch to 5K and I wanted to do this as well. If you find a group, let me know too please! There are a ton of groups on here and I am clicking and reading a lot of them.
  • Welcome to 3FC =)

Best of wishes with your plans and hope to see you around the boards!
