I have never really dieted before in my life and I know it will be tough but I also know it is only a matter of determination and I hope with the help of my friends and this forum I can stay motivated.


Great job!! Look around and join a support group. People here really are awesome, supportive and very typically non-judgementat 

. I have been trying to eat 5/6 small meals a day and that has worked really well, but I think I best avoid "free" meals because I don't have the strongest will power in the world and I probably shouldn't test it too much

I completely understand that. I used to have only 1 a week. I was really nervous about it the first time and I planned exactly what I was going to eat and all week I knew that I had a sonic milk shake to look forward to on Sunday. Giving myself the freedom made me feel better about it and I went right back on plan. Now, I know that not everyone can do that. **** I was surpised that I was even able to! I am still surprised that I can!
