One of my favorite treats

  • I never thought I'd consider herbal tea a treat, but I absolutely love Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice tea.

It is sort of like chai but without the tea leaves. If you let it steep for a while, the flavors of cinnamon, clove, and vanilla get intense and delicious. If I'm feeling indulgent, I might add a spash of cream.

This tea has a lovely natural sweetness; no Splenda needed!
  • Does it taste anything like real tea because i don't like real tea, at all. But that sounds yummy!
  • No! It tastes quite different because its got no tea leaves at all. Its got cinnamon, chicory, carob, vanilla, ginger, cardamom, black pepper, cloves, and nutmeg.
  • I'm going to try it; I've gotten into a big Splenda / Stevia habit lately. That sweet thing is a devil!
  • Chai tea is also quite nice. We have a chocolatey herbal chai (no "real" tea) that DH really enjoys, and is naturally caffeine free, we often enjoy it in the evenings after supper.
I prefer real tea, but will enjoy chai from time to time.
  • that sounds really good. I love chai tea myself, but I will definitely have to check this out.
