Having issues eating enough calories?

  • So.. i used to be the person who used to over-eat too much..now im the person who is supposedly not getting enough calories..According to fit-day..in order to lose weight i need to eat 2086 for my weight because i burn 3029 calories just living..so by restricting it by 937 calories it says i will lose weight..which means eating 2086 calories..but ive been tracking my calories along with carbs etc.. and ive only been averaging eating 1256-1200 a day..I dont intentionally try and not eat.. i DO eat..

    Sample menu:

Breaky: 2 eggs and 1/2 cup yogurt

Snack: 1 skim milk cheese string

Lunch: 4 oz chicken over salad greens with 2tbsp of garden veggie dressing

Snack: Cucumber slices w/ 2tbsp of dressing (low carb)

Dinner: Zucchini speggetti w/ lean ground beef and tomato sauce and 1tbsp of low fat cream cheese

Dessert: Bean-y brownie w/ 1/2 cup non fat plain yogurt , sweetened with 1tbsp of sugar free jelly
1 can of Diet Rite cola.

So its not like im starving myself..im eating all the time..and until im satisfied..Im never hungry..and i crave nothing..literally..

So.. i guess my question is..Do you think im eating enough? And...if im not..any suggestions about how to get in some more healthy calories?

And...by the way.. i burn on average between 400-800 calories in a workout doing Box-fit..in case that helps.
  • try getting more calorie dense foods into your diet - olive oil, nuts, nut butters, etc. i use low fat yogurt (2%) instead of fat free because of the calorie issue as well.
  • 1200 calories a day isn't "starving," and if you feel satisfied and are losing weight, then you're probably doing just fine. If you start feeling lethargic and your weight loss stalls, it might be time to think about adding more calories. Just my two cents!
