  • Hi mom1521!

What do you mean you think you lost too much?
  • So who is the they that are saying you're losing too fast.

If it's your doctor, you maybe should listen, but if it's just random people they may not know what they're talking about.

Weight loss "experts" (doctors and dietitians) do not agree on the best/safest rate of weight loss. Some say there is no such number, and those that do believe there is, don't agree on what the number is.

Some say 1/2 - 1% of your starting weight per week, others say 1-3%. Most agree that the more you have to lose, the more you can safely lose).

    You're averaging about 2%.

It's very common for people to lose quite a lot in the first couple months. And the more weight you have to lose, the more you can lose safely.

If you want to slow down your weight loss you can, but if you're feeling fine there probably is no need to (unless you have health issues that make fast weight loss riskier than average, which is why you should have a check-up before and during your weight loss if that's possible).

If you're not feeling well (if you're getting headaches, lightheadedness, nausea, or dizziness...), or if you're hungrier than you want to be or if you have health issues that your doctor has told you would make rapid weight dangerous then slowing down might make sense.
