Getting Fat Sucks...I need support!!!

  • I have progressively getting bigger and bigger. My thyroid shut down on me and now it's REALLY bad...and my mood is even worse! I don't feel sexy or beautiful at all any more and I have no motivation.
I've started going to the gym and get back in shape, but i need some support.
Right now my goal is to go 3days a week for 30 mins at a time and build on that. Eventually I would like to start running again.
If you're looking for a support pal let me know!
  • Hi there! I just wanted to pop in and say hello and to send a big HUG your way. You can do it! You may have ups and downs, good days and bad days, but getting back up and dusting yourself off and continuing on your journey can be a life changer.

Keep your head up and keep going while you experiment and find out what works for you.

Can't wait to see your GOAL post
  • Glad to see you here! This is a great place for learning all kinds of things you didn't know you didn't know!

Three days is great as long as it's very routine. That works for a lot of people. I personally need 5 days for the routine of it. I work out first thing in the morning and if I slept in two days it would be way too hard to get up on the days I needed to.

Do you have a diet plan?
  • Thanks you guys!
I eat pretty good it's the exercise part that's really my biggest problem.
I work long days 3-5 days a week so it's virtually impossible to exercise on the days i work. so that's why i'm shooting for 3 days a week at 30 mins right now and we'll build on that.
    Thanks for support

The best exercise is that which you can sustain, so that sounds good. I bet it feels good to de-stress with some YOU time after long days at work, huh?
  • I can totally understand your feeling. If you want a pal, holler at me and I'll be right here. I have been working on losing weight after being so big for so many years. I have been big since I gave birth to my first child, and I have had a total of four children and I am not losing ANY of my weight!! So I decided, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!! What I do is do portion control. I eat off of saucer plate, I don't use the regular big dinner plates. Whenever I eat out, I split everything in half. I avoid High Fructose Corn Syrup products. I am not rich. I can not afford to buy everything healthy so I have to make do with what I can get. I exercise with my Wii Fit whenever I remember to. I was 237 pounds when I first WOKE UP about my weight. I am now down to 213. I admit, I did gain 3 pounds during the holidays but I lost them already. :-) I wish you the BEST of luck with this! :-)

I often work long days as well so I understand. Something that I would recommend is even on most days when you work long hours, if you watch tv on those days, try walking in place or around your living room during part of a show or during the whole show. It will get you in the habit of getting some exercise in on most days.

I know how you feel... except I don't expect to be running anytime soon, LOL. I'm just hoping to be walking, being able to climb stairs without knee pain would be fantastic.
