I am extremely impressed by Gary Taubes' new book, published on 12/28/10,
"Why We Get Fat And What To Do About It"
I found his 2007 book, Good Calories Bad Calories,
which was written for medical professionals,
interesting but extremely difficult to read, and pre-ordered this
since it was written for the average, intelligent person.
I got it in the week between Christmas and New Years,
and it contained just the concepts that I needed for encouragement.
Personally, I think that everyone would benefit from reading it,
not necessarily because they should change the way they eat,
but for the history and presentation of past dieting research,
and for more knowledge of how our bodies work to lose fat.
I'm planning to experiment with the concepts to see if they work for me.
I'd love to be able to maintain my weight while eating more than 1050 daily calories.
