I have an analog scale that goes up to 300lbs. The problem is that it is a couple of years old and I can get a couple of different numbers, depending on where I stand.
Does anyone have any suggestions for an accurate (or just consistent) scale that does not cost a lot of money?
I researched and there are a lot. I think I want a digital one, with a higher weight capacity. I think a memory would be nice but I am not sure. Thanks

I have an EatSmart scale that I got from Amazon.com that I totally LOVE. It's super consistent, goes up to 400lbs, apparently, and has just been a dream to use in the almost year that I've had it. And it was a little under $30, to boot!

i have the weight watchers con-air scale and i like it very much. It will give you the same weight no matter how often you get off and get back on, and it has info for four users. It was very inexpensive. It is WW brand but really has nothing else to do with ww. i think i got it at bed bath & beyond for 30.00 a year ago. Hands down Tanita. A little more pricey; about 50 bucks, but totally worth it.

Heh, Carly, that post made me laugh. I have a Taylor one too, and they are cheap and work for a while and then start giving crazy numbers all of a sudden. I've gone through a few. Should probably invest in a better one... Actually, I have a Salter brand scale that's been giving consistent/accurate numbers for several years, but it's analog and I prefer digital as well.

I have an OLD AS **** analog scale that measures in kilograms. I love it. Digitals freak me out, I'm not ready for that kind of truth.

TANITA-- and mine's a body composition scale, which means it will also read body fat percentage and water percentage. I really like that feature because I can tell for sure when I'm bloating and when I'm actually gaining.

i forgot to add, my 30.00 WW scale does percentage of fat, bone, water, BMI and other stuff, but in all honesty i only use the weight & bmi OK i'm done now! i just really like my scale

Totally go for the Amazon one someone posted above... I have the same one and its AMAZING. Reasonable price and ALWAYS accurate. Let me put it to you this way.... I was traveling internationally a couple of weeks ago and we all know they're pretty darned strict about that 50lb weight limit per bag. My bag was 48.9lbs on my scale. It was 48.7 at the airport. Now that's what I'm talkin about.

You can get it on 5 times in a row and it won't change..... or an hour later, and its STILL the same. I've NEVER been disappointed with this scale!

I also have a Con-Air WW digital scale and love love love it! I can get off and back on and it always reads the same. The only other thing I use is my Wii Fit and it tends to match the scales so that makes me believe they are both a reliable source. I bought my scale at Wal-Mart for around $30.

This! My Tanita is phenomenal. My husband bought it maybe six years ago, now, and its still perfectly accurate and works wonderfully. If I step on and off, it never reads my weight as fluctuating more than a fifth of a pound, and rarely that. This batteries have been changed three times in six years, so it doesn't eat them like candy, either.

I love this scale. If it ever dies, it is promptly being replaced with another from the same company.
