  • I have to toot my own horn and am having trouble finding someone to toot to. A few girls at work sabatoge me, so I keep my mouth shut there and my lovely family put together weigh close to the same as me so they just don't understand. Friends are not trying to lose weight and there seems to be some jealousy if you do. So here it goes.

Yesterday I did not snack in the afternoon or evening.
Yesterday I watched my portions and didn't go back for seconds.
Yesterday I came back to 3 fat chicks for support on this difficult journey.

Thank you for listening because I'm really feeling good about myself this morning for sticking to those 3 things yesterday.
  • good for you!

I love hearing about the little things people accomplish, because it's the little things left untouched that become big things.

Good luck to you with your journey.
  • Nice job! Congrats!
  • Yesterday I did not buy chips when I went grocery shopping.
Yesterday I did not snack in the p.m.
Yesterday I did a power walk before work.
Man am I gonna do it this time!!!!!
  • What a fantastic post!! Card...you are moving in the right direction and are quite inspiring with your attitude. Thank you, I needed this today!
  • Fantastic, you should be proud!
  • 3 Things I did right yesterday
I made up my mind I refuse to die because of my weight

I joined this website called 3 Fat Chicks ( and the women there are amazing !!!!)

I bought a bag of apples for snack at work instead of my usual candy bar

Doesn't look like much but to me this is a step in the right direction
  • I ate a brownie and ice cream and savored every bite!
    I managed my calories....
    so
I didn't exceed my calorie limit for the day!
  • Thank you I needed this. My new favorite thread.

I survived an office meeting where they served lunch without overeating or touching any of the sweets.

I said no to the candy my co-worker put on my desk

I ate a resonable dinner, no seconds and only one low cal sweet.
  • Yesterday I had a friend take pictures of me and I was happy with the results as I can see the weight loss, especially in my face.

Yesterday I cut a foot of hair off to donate to a charity group that makes wigs for kids the need wigs due to health issues.

Yesterday I made a shrimp/veggie/rice combo for dinner and it was great!
  • -I added spinach to my wrap at lunch
-I said "No thanks" to chinese food
-I stalked 3FC instead of stalking the pantry
  • Woo Hooo!!!! Keep it Up!!
  • What a wonderful idea for a thread, you guys!! You all did great yesterday!! Cheers!

I'll hopefully be able to post something positive about my day tomorrow. I'm afraid yesterday was sort of a flop for me. I did lose one pound, though (not sure how, but I think it was just water), so that's one good thing. Today will be better.

Have a great day, everyone! I'm looking forward to reading about all your positive successes tomorrow!!

  • Thank you so much for a positive spin on such a life struggle...this post is the reason I just joined...and I must admit, although my weight is CONSTANTLY in the front of my mind, I have never made it a public plight. Seems so personal...and weak...to not be able to deal with this myself. I am hoping your positive, uplifting focus will be catching
  • Hi, Soccer6! It's nice to meet you! I just joined a couple of days ago and am just getting my feet wet here. I totally understand what you're saying about weight loss feeling so personal. I find talking about it hard, too, but more so in real life than here on a forum. I'm really hoping to give and receive encouragement here as we all need it in this process.

    Blessings!
