Little cookie NSV

  • Nothing too outstanding, just a little yay-for-Megan thread

Today I was bored. It was a rainy day and the first cool day of fall. I had a raging desire to make some chocolate chip cookies, hehe. Not to eat them, just to make them. So I made them. And amazingly, I didn't even have a desire to take a handful (or two or three) of chocolate chips. Or sneak a blob (or two or three) of cookie dough. And when I had them all on the sheets, I threw the leftover dough away without a second thought.

And then I had three dozen warm from-scratch cookies in my apartment. And I STILL didn't have a desire to eat them. It wasn't even that I didn't give into the temptations, I just didn't have any temptations. I even had hungry feelings throughout the day and desired regular planned meals (chicken and broccoli) instead of obsessing over the cookies. I put them in little baggies that I'll pass out to various people over the next few days. One friend came over and we split one cookie. I enjoyed it, savored it, and was satisfied.

I have proven to myself that I don't have to eat half the batch if I bake something...what a surprise, haha.
  • definitely something to be proud of. way to go! I'm usually tempted try stuff I make to make sure it tastes ok, which usually leads to eating more, lol. Luckily I don't have a reason to bake right now.
  • Megan, that's wonderful! Good for you!
  • That is a huge NSV!!!!!
I made a pan of No Pudge Fudge Brownies on Sunday. I ate one Sunday and one Monday. Usually.......I would eat the entire pan before anyone else gets a chance to have ONE!!!! Soooooo glad there is light at the end of the tunnel! haha!
    Again......Good job!!!!!
