New and a little overwhelmed!

  • Hi everyone!

    Well, I finally did it! After trolling the goals pictures from time to time. Wishing & sighing, thinking wow, if I could only do that...

    Well, I registered for 3 fat chicks!

    I used to weigh at my highest about 180 pounds. That was short lived. I am 5'-6" and my heavy weight is usually about 165. I really got a hold of my weight when I was in my early twenties & mainted 145-150ish for years. I felt pretty great.

    I then suffered with depression, lost my job due to economy, and moved back home last year. Now, I am single, about to be 31 & my life is changing. I am back to 165 after just simply giving up.

    So, here I am. I am thinking I am not going to do any diet "program." I am thinking I'll do a lot of green smoothies & fruit smoothies for breakfast and lunch, along with healthier options like salads, whole grain, more fish, healthier cereals, etc. Honestly, part of me just wants to crash diet. But I know in my heart, where that will take me. I know I have to diet and exercise.

    Exercise. There's the dirty word. I need some support with this because I am a lazy jane! now that it is cooler, there is a walking track around the ball field I can walk in the mornings. I don't want to, but I know I will feel better. Starting is just so hard!

    what sucks is letting yourself go to a point where you start to believe it is impossible to change. I know after looking and reading around here that is not true at all.

    I quit smoking last year and gained a good 15-20 lbs. I feel good that I can breath again but a little depressed my clothes no longer fit.
    I need some help to achieve my goals !!
