I can't believe I'm full with only 1200 cal!!!

  • Today was the first day that I felt totally full after all my meals.
    I had fruits and almonds for breakfast, chicken wrap for lunch and a tuna sandwich for dinner, with two tasty snacks...

    I'm loving the feeling! Saturdays are the official days that I weight myself... Let's see if the scale feels as good as I do!!

    I'm finding (yea, I know it's not rocket science but it's new to me ) that it all depends on the quality of food I get the calories out of: some days I'm absolutely stuffed on 900, other days I've eatn 1400 and still want to slap the dogs between slices of (white) bread and scarf them!

    This made my day , white bread is the bomb.

    I can be full on a mere 1200 calories, while other days much like Rosinante I've finished my 1500 for the day and could still eat...really depends on my feelings and how I'm determining my "Full quota" (aka mindless munching does not count!!!)
  • I totally understand - some days I stuff over 1500 calories in my mouth and still feel 'starving' and other days (the days I plan out my meals and make better food choices) I am quite content and full on 1100 calories!
    I find my mood really also affects my 'full' factor. aka, if its pouring rain and dreary outside and i'm feeling down, those 1200 calories don't seem nearly enough!
  • When I was actively losing this was my upper limit and I felt full- reduced carbs, very few grains, loads of veggies, good fats & proteins. The calorie had to pulling its weight:-)
  • I've found this lately, too. I've limited myself to about 1200 calories per day (though I sometimes allow myself a bit more - up to 1400). I can be completely satisfied on just 1200 calories and this has definitely excited me! However, like others have said, it does really depend on the day for me. Sometimes I'm perfectly fine, while other days I have the desire to eat something else. I can say, though, that I haven't had any overwhelming cravings and I'm able to resist the small cravings I do have. I've never been able to do that before!
