Getting close...

  • 141.8 this morning. I'm getting close to getting out of the 140s (plus I'm on TOM... so I could potentially be there already without the extra water weight).

This has been the biggest road block in my weight loss journey. I have been bouncing around the 140s for the past 2 years. Occasionally wandering into the 150's, but dropping right back down again. This has been my "safe" weight. It's easy for me to stay in the 140s. I'm not comfortable with my body here, but it's safe and easy and I can do it.

Every time I have gotten close to getting out of the 140s I've quit. Basically gotten scared and given up and binged my way safely back into the 140s. I really really want this. I've wanted it for so long. I know it won't be easy by any means to get down to my goal, but I feel like if I can get past this emotional hurdle I can make it to goal.

Any one ever have any similar feelings? Any suggestions or encouragement?
  • I have exactly the same problem. I lost the first 30 pounds from 180 to 150 in a year but for last 10 months am just stuck at this 145 something weight. It bounces between 142-145 and am not able to get it off.

As you said,I think my body is very comfortable in this weight and doesn;t want to let go.

I am planning to kick it up a notch and start exercise routine or something to get this last 20 something lbs off.
  • Y'all GO!! How wonderful that you're doing it!!!

  • Oh yes! I've been in the 140s for so
long! But I actually like it. I look
good and feel good. Though, I can't
help but want so badly to break
    the 140s. I'm at 140 - 141 so far
and it's so frustrating being SO CLOSE.
